The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a lot of talent on their team, but a 3-9 record could lead people to believe differently. Which is why it's no surprise that the Bucs aren't leading the Pro Bowl in votes in any category, but we're seeing a lot of snubs for the Bucs, here. The team believes Gerald McCoy will be the team's only Pro Bowler this year, according to Pewter Report. That's outrageous. Lavonte David is having an All-Pro season. He's the best 4-3 outside linebacker in the NFL, and he's apparently ninth in Pro Bowl voting, according to Gregg Rosenthal. Ninth! Are you kidding me?
Not to mention the other snubs: Demar Dotson is playing as well as any right tackle in the league this year, ranking first in Pro Football Focus' right tackle rankings and fifth in overall tackle rankings. Vincent Jackson is on pace for 1,200 receiving yards on the season. Mark Barron is having a breakout season and has looked stellar this year (with the exception of one or two games), and Darrelle Revis has been a shutdown corner, even if he's not used like it.
The Buccaneers may suck this year, but that doesn't mean their star players don't deserve some recognition. So we have to fix that. We have to go and vote for the Bucs. So head on over to NFL.com and fill in a Pro Bowl ballot. Vote for Lavonte David and Gerald McCoy. Because seeing only McCoy in the Pro Bowl would be an embarrassment.
