I've been thinking about who I think the Bucs should draft come next year. At first I was screaming for a Tight End, but with the break out play of Tim Wright, I feel we can take one in the 3-4th rounds. Soon after Freeman was released my heart was set on Quarterback, but now I feel you can't judge this guy for 1 season. Then I went for a pass-rusher, but if William Gholston improves we might be able to wait in the second for one, given Lavonte David was a second round pick that is really exciting.
So now what? Our defense, lets be honest, has been playing some great ball. I think its just 1 more sack or something until we break the most sacks since 2005 or something and there is a similar situation with our interception count. So that leaves our offense, we cannot seem to get going. Now don't forget next season we will hopefully have back Pro-Bowl running back Doug Martin, who would have exploded with the offensive line picking up its game. Mike Williams, a solid 2nd Receiver, and lets pray for Carl Nicks. That all of a sudden looks really good. But we need more, and I've been looking at a certain player, a player that could make our offense unimaginably good.
SAMMY WATKINS, WR Clemson. Imagine, having the option to put either V-Jax, Williams and Watkins in any receiver position you desire. Shove Watkins in the slot and the defense has to account for amazing speed, that will give space for Williams and Jackson. Put Jackson in the slot and the defense has to account for his big size, again giving Watkins and Williams more space. Having Jackson and Watkins out wide would give Williams in the slot that much space it would be incredible. The offense, while Greg Schiano might want it to be a run-first team, needs another WR option if we are going to progress.
So that's my opinion, I'm sure some of you want QB, DE or OL. But with the addition of Sammy Watkins or even Mike Evans. Our offense will shine.
Now I know what you all are think, what about this special teams. Well, they are playing alright.
