The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have done the impossible: they've jumped all over the Seattle Seahawks, grabbing a 21-0 lead as they move into the second half. We don't have a clue as to how this is happening, but it is. The Bucs are playing well in all phases of the game, catching a few breaks and crushing the Seahawks.
For the first time this season, the Bucs have a running game, with Mike James leading the way with 17 carries for 82 yards. Mike Glennon is 10/11 for 124 yards and two touchdowns, with Mike James adding the third touchdown on a goal-line pass to Tom Crabtree. Tim Wright has three catches for 53 yards and a touchdown. The Bucs tried a sneak onside kick, failed, and they're still leading 21-0. This happened.
Michael Koenen, the kickoff artist/punter, recovered a fumble! The Seahawks look like they didn't show up, in Seattle, against an 0-7 team.
Can the Bucs finally get it done for the first time this year? Here's your third quarter open thread!
