Looking Ahead at the 2014 Draft

Now I know the season is not over yet, but after seeing a few others post their draft day dreams, I thought it would be a fun idea. Now my views of this team at the current point in time are very different to some of you and I respect that. When we were 0-8 it was hard to watch my beloved Bucs. I came to the realization that I would rather watch blowouts then close loses. I wanted Schiano's head as much as any of you. But after our now 3-8 record. I am starting to believe again. It seems that Schiano has possibly loosened the grip. Plus, Glennon's performance has led me to believe that if he keeps progressing he will be our quarterback next season.

So in saying all this, given the recent weeks this mock draft is if Greg Schiano has gathered a few more wins to be given one more chance in 2014.

Round 1, Pick No. 5: This one is hard, go for an offensive weapon such as Eric Ebron or trade down for Mike Evans. But given the fact that our current Tight End Tim Wright is playing at a good level, and Tiquan Underwood has come out of his shell, The offensive weapon can wait until round 2. I think we go for a defensive pass rusher such as Anthony Barr of Stephon Tuitt. We have a great d-line with Gerald Mccoy, Adrian Clayborn and the rookie Akeem Spence imagine if we added another first round talent.

Round 2, Pick No. 27: Basically we take the best receiving option at this point, hopefully with the WR talent such as Mike Evans and Sammy Watkins in the first round, Marquis Lee falls to us in the early second giving us Vincent Jackson, Mike Williams and Marquis Lee. Talk about weapons for Glennon.

Round 3, Pick No. 71: Traded to Jets.

I dont like drafting the other rounds since they are so unpredictable.
