Freeman - What's in a name - The irony

Josh Tyler Freeman - formerly known as the record breaking quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A first round draft pick who showed a knack for 4th quarter comebacks. A 6'6" young athlete we praised as the future of the organization.

Josh - A word used to imply saying something in jest or jokingly.

Freeman - A word once used to refer to former slaves freed from servitude by the emancipation proclamation. A word that implies he has no financial or contractual obligation to an NFL franchise.

It is a joke that he is now a free agent.

Greg Schiano turned Josh into a media joke and then freed him from servitude to the Buccaneers. He is now a free agent with a 6 million dollar payout. I wish him well and hope he follows in the footsteps of Steve Young and Trent Dilfer. Former Buc QB's who went on to win Super Bowl rings.

Go Josh!
