Fellow swashbucklers, it is now time to step up and let your voice THUNDER!! I have seen many comments on Bucs Nation referring to protesting by not showing up for the Monday night game. I say poppycock! I have a much more effective idea. For if you simply don't show, well that will be what is expected from a fan base of an 0-8 team. The Glazers are not that easily impressed. They are used to a stadium a few seats shy of a fully-swabbed deck. This really didn't seem to bother them for several years when the economy had central Florida bleeding out. They could have lowered ticket prices. They could have made more of an effort to appease and grow the fans by avoiding blackouts. But I didn't see them crying about this. Not at all. They were too busy counting the coins in their many overflowing treasure chests of Manchester United gold.
No. What they need is a nice, healthy dose of humiliation! So much of it in fact that it CAN'T be ignored. And how can this be accomplished? Well, it starts with what all good lynch mobs need- solidarity. Torches, pitchforks and good old-fashioned NASTY! And since you probably won't get past security with a lit fire and multi-pronged sharp object, your weapon of choice will have to be poster board and magic marker. Let's pack the house at Ray Jay with 50,000 plus posters of NASTINESS! "Fire Schiano" will be the mantra. But don't let your creativity be stifled. I'll bet there is a plethora of ways to speak that notion. And Monday Night Football will be there to catch all of them on camera.
Since the game will certainly not be that interesting, THE story will be YOUR message! It will be impossible to ignore. Hey, wear a paper bag over your face if you want. But make sure it says something embarrassing about the coaching staff on it. This coaching staff has made a mockery out of our beloved franchise. Let's show them it is not our team that is the "laughing stock" but rather the joke-for-a-coach Schiano and his minion deputies Bill "Barney Fife" Sheridan and Mike "Soiled Myself" Sullivan. I know I can't wait to hear Mike Tirico and John Gruden wax eloquently about it.
So Buc fans, let's let our voices be heard on this biggest of stages! It is not our players that are embarrassing. It is our coaches. Their ineptitude is sabotaging the efforts of our players and costing them games. And it's high time the Glazers stand up and do right by us. It is time they make these dismissive, arrogant jerks walk the plank. It is time for them to say, "Schiano, Sheridan, Sullivan...you're shark food!"
