My Mock Draft

I am half sold on Mike Glennon at the moment. But when we consider the horrible O-line which has Glennon pressured half the time and an inept defensive line which cannot get in a handshakes distance from any quarterback. While I would love a top 5 quarterback like Mariota or Bridgewater, I feel we have bigger problems. In the 2014 NFL draft we have 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 7th.

Here is my take on the draft. (Say we end up with the second overall pick)

1st, We take the best pass rusher in the draft, Jadeveon Clowney DE, South Carolina. Put him opposite Adrian Clayborn, who still has the potential to become a beast pass rusher, next to Gerald Mccoy, who is arguably Tampa's best player and one of the best DT's in the game, and you have an amazing pass rush. I know Clowney has character issues, but did that stop Warren Sapp?

2nd, Antonio Richardson T, Tennesse. Look at our O-Line. Carl Nicks, when healthy is a beast guard. Davin Joseph, same as Nicks, when healthy he is one of the leagues best, Demar Dotson, has surprised many and is slowly becoming better and better, Jeremy Zuttah, the past few seasons hasn't been shown a lot at C because of injuries. Finally we look at Donald Penn. I watch Penn week in and out, and he is very inconsistent. Bringing in a solid prospect in Richardson will bolster up the entire line. Eventually showing the weaker of the Penn-Dotson couple as he will replace one of them.

3rd, None

4th, Josh Huff, other than V-Jax and Mike Williams, who do the Buccaneers have at WR? Underwood drops passes, Owusu isnt anything special and Eric Page hasn't caught more than a few passes. Huff is fast to say the least and would give Glennon another target, upgrading the slot receiver position.

5th, David Gardner QB, Michigan. I know this is a risky pick, but I do like Gardner's playstyle and if Glennoon begins to slow down, Gardner could provide a new look at offense.

For the two 7th round pick, I'm not fussed on who we draft.

Glennon has to opportunity to really become a legitimate quaterback, especially if we draft players to compliment him
