In literature, this includes movie screen plays for you non-readers, great characters are complex. They may be inherently good but flawed in some way. Maybe bad but redeemable as was the case with Darth Vader. Perhaps they have many sides to them. So what about Greg Schiano- fearless leader of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A middle-of-the-road college coach with very little NFL experience that somehow ended up coaching our esteemed Buccaneers. I am sure he is a devoted family man. Perhaps the kind of guy you would want in a foxhole with you. But does that mean he can coach? Perhaps he is over his head intellectually, football-wise, and is trying to compensate by being a control freak. Can't have any dissidents in the camp questioning his judgement so he sends out the Gestapo to patrol the sidelines. Must eradicate all opposition, i.e. ship them off to New England. Maybe Josh Freeman was deserving of the boot and Greg made the tough call. I for one think the handling of Freeman was a colossal mistake that set the team back a few years. My impression is that our talent-laden roster is just simply being out-coached. What do you think?
