I have more questions than answers about this leak business.

Ok, So Mortensen is the one who published the story that everyone keeps going back to regarding the leak and Freeman's official response. Here it is;

The time and date on this keep showing "Updated" so I'm not clear when the story was originally published. However, since the story CONTAINS FREEMAN'S RESPONSE the implication is that THIS IS NOT THE ORIGINAL LEAK. So either:

1. Info was leaked to Mort and he went to the Freeman camp and waited for them to write a response before publishing his story.

2. Mort was running down a follow up based on something that was already out there.

I was watching NFL Sports Network on Sunday when they moved from Soccer to Sunday Night Football blah blah blah and they got into this whole leak thing as an aside to how no team should want Freeman on their roster (at 1:53 he throws in the leak reference without saying what was leaked). It took some looking to find but here it is:

I'm almost inclined to believe that the leak was actually exposed 1st on TV rather than in writing. Then Mort jumped on and did the follow up work. Obviously this drug talk has been spread all over the place so there was something out there already. The 46 drug tests (if this is true unbiased info) clear up that possibility but it also opens up other questions. 46 drug tests would go back how far? 1 season? 2 season? I saw something else implying that Freeman was doing this at work and possibly missing meeting for it as well, and that he never fully disclosed to Schiano what it was about. Is that credible at all? Would it be possible for a player to claim privacy over a league substance abuse program from his own coach?

Sorry for the rapidly written rant but there is so much smoke around this that I would like to clarify the things that we can and do know, as well as the timeline, as much as possible.
