We all know about the problems of our Bucs Cornerback, Safety, Def. end, Off. tackle, tight end, and outside linebacker
yes it sounds like a lot but it can and will be fixed.
lets start with resignings
DE Michael Bennett - led team in sacks
DT Roy Miller – showed vast improvement and helped in #1 run defense
S/CB Ronde Barber – if he wants to come back sign him.
Cuts
Eric Wright- we all know why he underpreformed was overpaid and got suspended. this frees up 7.5 million in cap space
Quincy Black- i feel bad because of his injury but he wasnt getting the job done and it frees up another 1.5 million.
Free agents
S Jairus Byrd – BUF- the guy was a pro bowl snub he is a great free safety that fits our scheme and would instantly upgrade pass defense he is only 26 if Barber comes back we can always move barber back to cornerback.
CB Derek Cox – JAC- Guy is a strong covercorner who is great in press coverage and defending passes very underrated.
TE Martellus Bennett – NYG- brother of our defensive end and is a great tight end and would be a nice target for josh freeman
T Andre Smith – CIN- Replace Jeremy trueblood/ demar dotson he is a guy who can be consistant but wont cost alot of money
The 2013 Draft
1st- CB Dee Milliner Alabama- he is the best cb available and a need for the bucs. We might not be able to get him at #13 and that is why we trade up using our 1st and the 4th round pick from the patriots that was aquired in the aquib talib trade.
2nd-OLB Khaseem Greene Rutgers- hes a guy who played for schiano at rutgers and is an outstanding tackler with great pass rushing speed and good hands.
3rd-QB Ryan Nassib Syracuse- This signal caller was outstanding this season and would put pressure on Freeman as well as his instant connection with mike williams his former teammate at syracuse.
4th-WR Quinton Patton Louisiana Tech- he would be a great slot wide reciever to complement williams and jackson.
5th-CB Tyrann Mathieu LSU- yes he has had troubles but he has said he has changed and if he is anyhting like he was at lsu he is an absolute steal in this spot and we need help at corner bad. schiano can help him be set straight.
6th-RB Rex Burkhead Nebraska- he reminds me a lot of danny woodhead, a good 3rd down back who plays his heartout for a first down. good hands.
Tell me what you think please i think this would be a very solid plan
