Hey all,
Tarheels24 here from CSR. One of our readers has recently set up a mock off season in which we can make trades, sign free agents and eventually participate in a full scale mock draft. I am currently running the Bucs. I may be a Panthers fan but I respect the Bucs and wish to make this a successful experiment and am asking for a little help.
I am a little late to the party as the original "GM" decided not to show up and I was appointed. The other GM's have been very active in trading and I am very seriously pursuing trying to find a CB through trade. Thankfully salaries acquired in trade do not count against the pool of money we were allotted as that will help balance out the fact that to keep things fairly simple, we were all granted the same amount of cap space.
Things to know about the set-up of this is that the top 5 free agents on a team will hit the pool of free agency unless I use the franchise tag which does affect my pool of money to spend on free agents. Thus far I do not believe that the free agents from the Bucs are worth using the tag but you can convince me otherwise if you wish. I also can put restricted tags on the RFA's that I wish to keep but I am not sure if they are worth it either. Do you think Blount, Irvin, or Cutrera are worth a tag?
As part of my research, I have been reading through the mocks and conversations on this board and have found this very helpful. I hope in this thread I can interact with the knowledgeable readers here to help me do well in this exercise. One thing that I would find immediately very helpful is any players or positions you feel can be traded to help with other needs.
Thanks all. My email is bcsimons@yahoo.com if you wish to contact me personally.
