Mock of Fortune
Looking ahead at the 2013 Draft, we'll see a fresh wave of players brought into this Bucs' franchise to aide in our acension to football greatness. We know our team needs help in several key areas, with CB probably holding a higher priority than others, but let's be real, there's always room to improve every/anywhere. So, let's do it.
1st Rd: Bjoern Werner DE/DT FSU-
-Werner's a really dynamic DLmen who can play both the interior & edge of the front-4. Strong off the snap and has the quickness to match to get to the QB. Nose Tackle is where I'd plug this guy in at, and see how long it takes teams to figure wether they should quit doubling McCoy or just quit doubling period
Possible 1st rd Trade Scenario:
Xavier Rhodes CB FSU
-Offer STL a move up to 13 for their second 1st rd pick(@22) and a 6th rounder(maybe higher). There should be value in it for STL jumping and grabbing a player higher on their draft board netting them the 13th & 17th overall picks. While we walk with the 22nd overall pick and an additional 6th rounder.
2nd Round: Logan Ryan CB Rutgers
- Good Size and discipline defending WRs can play on the edge and would be an excellent addition to our CB committee
3rd Round: Desmond Trufant CB Wash.(w/Ronde or FA FS)
- Thirves in man coverage and is pretty well rounded. Played all types of WR talent out in the PAC-12 and did a really good job against a pro-type WR like Rob Woods.
Phillip Thomas S Fresno State(w/o Ronde or FA FS)
- I've watched Thomas twice this past season and came away impressed with the safeties physicality and reads that attribute to his ball hawking ways.
4th Round: Travis Kelce TE CIncy
4th Round: Stephon Jefferson RB Nevada
-sleeper pick who's got size, speed, and can compliment the Muscle Hamster better than Ware.
5th Round: Matt Scott QB Arizona
6th Round: Michael Campanaro WR Wake Forest
*6th Round(from STL): Jordan Hill DT Penn St.
7th round: Quanterus Smith DE West. KY
