The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to churn the roster at linebacker, signing linebacker Brian Smith while releasing linebacker BrianNate Triplett, per Roy Cummings. Smith is a former Notre Dame linebacker who played outside linebacker in their 3-4 in 2010. He spent some time with the Cleveland Browns last season after entering the league as undrafted free agent. To make room for Smith on the roster, the Bucs have released linebacker Brian Triplett who was signed a couple of days ago.
On that note, the Bucs had signed Triplett to replace veteran Thomas Williams, who left the squad after training with the team for three days last week.
