I love Legarratte Blount. I really like him as a running back and he can be an effective weapon on our time. However I still believe that he is a limited back and so do the Buccaneers. No way does an organization invest a first round in a RB so that he will be the backup. Doug Martin was brought in to be the "bell cow" back that Schiano really wants. Blount isnt that guy. If he was then they wouldnt have been trying to draft an all purpose back in the first two rounds like they did this year. But what really baffles me is that many people that understand that Martin will most likely be the starter are getting accused as "Blount haters". But yet no one I have seen has really complained about the Martin pick. WHich makes no sense to me because if people believed that Blount will be the man we could have used that other first round pick on defense and picked up another RB later in the draft or in FA. Blount has alot to prove this year. Im tired of hearing the excuses of him not having a full season of coaching and no offseason and bad coaching. He may have to accept the role of Brandon Jacobs whether he likes it or not because in my opinion he has lost his starting job. Its up to Martin to show us he can handle it. Otherwise I will be criticizing that Doug Martin pick if he doesnt produce.
