After a horrible 2011 campaign, Our Buccaneers are trying to win back their confidence, their conference and their community. Ultimately W's in the win/loss column will be needed to win back all three. However, in an attempt to bring the Community back, the Buccaneers have been giving behind the scenes tours to show some of the changes that are being made to get the organization back on track
The halls are lined with memorable photos of big plays of seasons past. There's all kinds of memorabilia and trivial info all over the place. While taking the tour we encountered a lot of the rookies(Doug Martin/LeVonte David/Michael Smith) and even some veteran players(Michael Bennet/Jeremy Trueblood). During the provided lunch in the Buccaneer's official cafeteria, some of us were seated next to the players. They kinda ran out of room so one of the players I couldn't recognize ended up sitting next to me after asking it the seat was already taken. Moments after he sat down, Our #7 draft pick, Mark Barron, came in at sat at table next us. At the end, we got the photo we took in the Press Conference Room framed along with 2012 Draft Day hat, some Buccaneer Beads and DVD Video of Tour in a gift bag. The tour, in my opinion, was a not-to-miss opportunity. It lasted about 2hrs. I live in Orlando,FL and drove the 1 1/2hrs just to do it. If You ever get to opportunity to check it out....DO IT!
*Signs of Schianoisms--The temperature in the cafeteria: 70.5 C
*Signs of Schianoisms- ANY Buccaneer player that has a mugshot stemming from an arrest has that mugshot in the hall of One Buccaneer Place. NO JOKE. A constant reminder of "Keep Your $#*^ together!"
Here's a link to all the photos I took. They did ask that we don't take photos of the locker room or the players.
