For those eager to see football...any kind of football, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have officially announced the 2012 Pre-season slate.
2012 Preseason Schedule
DATE
Week 1 (August 9-13)
Week 2 (August 16-20)
Week 3 (August 23-26)
Week 4 (August 29-30) at Washington
The first look at Schiano's new look Buccaneers will occur in Miami against Joe Philbin's Miami Dolphins. Bucs fans will get their first live look at their team on the weekend of August 16th, when the Bucs host the Tennessee Titans.
The "closest thing to a regular season game" all important third pre-season game will also be at Ray Jay as the Buccaneers welcome the defending AFC Champion New England Patriots.
The backups will get their final shot the weekend of August 29th as the Bucs wrap up the pre-season in Washington.
