First, let me make it clear that I am thrilled with our draft. Dominik seemed to have save his job (at least for another year) with the magic that was worked. I give them an A for that they did. 3 starters in the first 2 rounds. While I'm still not sold the Bucs had Mark Barron ranked above Morris Claiborne, he fits a major need of ours and should come in ready to start. I was shocked when his name was announced. I felt like it might be too early for a safety. How early is too early for a major missing link of a team in desperate need, though? Mark Barron has a chance at something special. He will definitely have his chance at making plays this year, and will have to step up. Out of all the schools though, I feel Alabama has the best chance at getting their players NFL ready, and Barron just might be there.

With that being said, moving up for Doug Martin was awesome. Lavonte David was a steal, and my sleeper gem is Michael Smith. I think he is our "lightning" to the thunder/lightning backfield they have been speaking of. I think Drake Dunsmore has a legitimate chance at making the team. I'm concerned with Najee Goode, I don't get the pick. Corner in my opinion was more of a need there. I'm stoked for 2 of our undrafted free agents. Hidden gems if you will: Cody Johnson and Tyler Shoemaker. They're both freakishly good/underrated talent. Both have a great chance at making the team, and they will have my vote.

I'm happy we did take a CB in Keith Tandy, which could help us. I know we brought some guys in, but I feel like we're missing a starter here. If Talib goes to jail, that leaves Wright (good but a tad overrated in my opinion), Barber (I love the guy/thankful he's here but he isn't a #1 anymore), Biggers (no explanation needed) and Gaitor (underrated and I label as a "?"). I think we need another guy. I think we need to plan on starting the season without Talib and if he's there it'll be a bonus. Any thoughts on anyone else? Or are we set? Mike Jenkins is "on the trade block" too. He's due just to make 1 mil this year. . I say get it done. Just sayin.
