The Tampa Bay Buccaneers used their first seventh-round pick to add the player with the blandest name in the entire draft: Michael Smith. But don't let his name fool you, he has some skills. He's a speedy running back who is built low to the ground, which gives him a little power, but whose best attribute is his versatility. He should compete with Mossis Madu and Robert Hughes for the third running back spot, behind Legarrette Blount and Doug Martin. In college, he languished behind big, physical back Robert Turbin on the depth chart. Will he have a better NFL career than he had in college?
So, give us your opinion on Michael Smith. Do you like him? Will he win a backup job? Will he compete for a significant number of snaps? Will he have a big impact on offense? Let us know in the comments and in the poll.
