Looks like a decent amount of the offensive free agents are getting tagged or signing contract extensions with their teams. We will find out by 4 PM today who everyone is that gets tagged, and I am sure there are more to come. However, it does look like a good amount of defensive players will hit free agency. Teams still have another week to work out a deal, but it looks like there will be plenty of options at the LB and CB position for us to sign. Seeing that LB and CB are our two biggest needs, this is actually working out pretty well. I would be happy if we were to sign 1 LB, 1 CB, and 1 WR. The WR we sign might not be a huge name like Vincent Jackson or Dwayne Bowe, however I would be happy with a Manningham, Meachum, or Garcon, as long as we made some impact signings along the defensive side of the ball. I think Curtis Lofton at this point should be our number one target. The Bucs know he is a top notch run defender, who has made many big plays against us over the last 4 years, and taking away from a division rival would be great. An off season of Lofton, CB, and Meachum sounds pretty good to me. Taking away two players from division rivals, and add two needs, a run stopping linebacker and a deep threat, sounds pretty good to me.
