NFL changes overtime rules. Regular season games will now match playoff overtime rules.

Regular season games can't be won with a field goal in the first possession of overtime. The receiving team must score a touchdown (or safety) to win. If they kick a field goal the opposing team has a chance to either score a touchdown to win, or kick a field goal to extend the overtime. If this occurs, then true sudden death starts and the next score of any kind wins.
