There are many free agent linebackers us Buc fans have been conversing about:
And so on, so forth. So. What is the current status of any of these players?
Currently, we all are high on the above two. Although I believe Curtis Lofton has more upside and more potential given his current age. Just as ESPN NFC South blogger Pat Yaskinskas reported about Carl Nicks, signing Curtis Lofton would extremely weaken the Atlanta Falcons and enhance our Defense.
Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reported that the Buccaneers made him an offer and he has yet to sign. However, I would not be so sure. Given La Canfora's previous claims, he has been quite wrong most of the time. Examples: Peyton Manning to New York, Vincent Jackson to the Redskins (not even mentioning the Buccaneers), not to mention he bet his life on Mike Sherman becoming our head coach. Regardless, Curtis Lofton is currently in New Orleans for the weekend. He will explore their facility once more and has yet to book a trip to Tampa.
As for Stephen Tulloch, he has not currently heard from the Buccaneers and it looks like the Bucs have minor interest in Curtis Lofton and none at the moment for Tulloch.
While there are rumors for Okoye, expect nothing to occur. He is not worth spending the big bucks on and is past his prime. The Bucs are better off spending their money more efficiently through the draft now as Mark Dominik concluded his press conference last week.
So, as most of you Buc fans were wondering, this is the current status of the Free Agency class.
Please feel free to comment and message if you have any suggestions!
Thanks everyone. GO BUCS!
