According to a recent Chicago Sun-Times article, The Bucs have the "Inside Track to land Jackson"
The full excerpt:"The Bears, Bucs and Redskins are thought to be the most aggressive bidders for two-time Pro Bowl receiver Vincent Jackson. According to a league source, the Bucs have the inside track to land Jackson, with the Bears among the serious suitors who might come up short."

While it is just speculation, it is some good news for the Bucs. Signing Jackson would greatly improve the offense, and would finally provide a big #1 receiver for Freeman. While it would be awesome to sign him, the article does go on to say his salary may exceed $14 million a year, which is kind of expensive for a guy nearing his 30's.
As mentioned above though, this is just speculation. According to RotoWorld, earlier today, The Union- Tribune in San Diego, reported that the Bears and Skins were believed to be the most ardent suitors for Jackson, with Kevin Acee saying that Washington will do whatever it takes to get Jackson. They obviously want to get soon-to-be-rookie RG3 a go to guy right away.
