Rumor has it....
The hires of Frank Cignetti OC and DC Bob Fraser as well as other Rutgers coaches like defensive backs coach Jeff Hafley and strength coach Jay Butler to be announced later this week. Also Pittsburgh defensive assistant Jerry Olsavsky reportedly interviewed for the linebackers coaching vacancy. Former NFLcoaches Dave Campoand Butch Davis were mentioned as possible staffers, as was longtime offensive line coach Tony Wise. So like the hiring of coach Schiano looks like these signings will not only be a surprise but will be unexpected. What happened to Butch Davis? Why Cignetti? Wasn't he terrible at OC and ran the worst offense in Rutgers recent history? Again these may just be rumors, we wont truly know until it is formally announced. Lets hope we do well because we cant afford to have bad coaches. We as fans also demand the best now after years of mediocrity. GIVE US A PLAYOFF CALIBER TEAM, we shout in unison. Let's hope that Glazernik will be true to their word in spending in FA, after all we simply HAVE to spend to be competitive. We are in a tough division and our defense couldn't stop pop warner team.

Thats what I read.
But who knows the BUCS F/O is good at playing the rouse game so who really knows.
True
But it is worth mentioning and talking about. And for all intensive purposes the Bucs are not very forthcoming publicly about decisions. The glazers are masters of the “back room deal” as was the Schiano hire. So we shall see.
Every rutger fan that dropped in on this site said cignetti would be the absolute worst hire.

I read that
And that is what worries me, I did a little homework on the guy and it doesn’t look good. However I also read somwhere that these guys are coming here as position coaches. Really only Bucs top brass and Schiano know who is even in the running.
Not to be grammar nazi
but I would want to know if I was misusing a phrase like you are. The correct phrase is “for all intents and purposes” not “for all intensive purposes”

they are just that.
rumors. No point in even putting any thought into them in my opinion.

Again... it becomes an issue of access
and those teams can block our advances by not granting permission to talk to someone currently under contract with another team. Dead in the water if that happens.
Still don’t understand the lack of pursuit after Todd Haley, Bill Muir, and other “real” coaches.

Haley has signed with another team
Muir will liekly stay retired unless a superbowl contender came knocking.
