According to ESPN, Brees and the Saints are still far apart on a new contract, even though New Orleans is prepared to make him the highest paid QB in the league. The Saints obviously will not let their perennial Pro-Bowl QB get away and will slap the Franchise Tag on him if things do not get worked out soon.

How does this affect the Buc? It would mean two "big name" Saint's players would hit the open market in free agency, specifically OG Nicks and WR Colston. As mention by many people on Bucs Nation, Colston is not that deep threat we need, so the money would be better off spent elsewhere. However, Nicks is probably the best Guard in the league and would be a huge boost to our Oline. The one thing is, we would have to show him the money.

So, would the Bucs be likely to flash some green to steal a great player from a division rival?

Also, why stop there? We can move Zuttah to C and draft Reiff to play RT (assuming Claiborne is gone). This could be the best OL in football!
