Trueblood and Faine both need to be replaced
Trueblood will likely survive for one more year. I hope we find a way to replace Faine this year though. Either draft Konz if he falls or get a guard and slide Zuttah over to center. Something. Just get rid of either Faine or Trueblood this year, and get rid of the other one next year.
Amen Brother...
one G, or C, and one RT and we are home free. That is, assuming Zuttah returns.

New offense
I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter in thecomnents that they would be happy if we picked up a complemantiry RB and addressed mostly defense. If defense is better than offense will be better. While there is some truth to that, I feel our offense MUST address receiver position in the draft. We need to pick up at least one deep threat and/or a physical playmaker like Colston and maybe draft or pick up another TE in FA. After reading the articles Sander posted I am more convinced we need at least one more SOLID receiver in FA. And a 3rd down back. Wouldn’t hurt to replace Faine or Truebloodor both!

I'm excited about what Sullivan has to say
We need nicknames for these guys..obviously Sulli for the OC and we can call Sheridan fired after UNC pays out Butchy

If we want a "superstar" wide receiver, I think that Colston or Vincent Jackson are our only options.
The Bills would be absolutely crazy to not re-sign Stevie Johnson, especially after they have invested so much into Fitzpatrick. Mike Wallace could be available but at a monster price. Bowe and Desean Jackson will most likely stay where they are.

The Bills are idiots
Stevie wants 7.5-8mil with most of the contract guaranteed. The cheap ass Bills playin hardball, but the Franchise Tag is worth more than what he’s askin (9.5Mil) so we already know what’s gonna happen, the Bills haven’t used the tag since 2006. Stevie needs to Tampa! It shouldn’t be a hard sell considering he’s already played for a struggling team in a small market, he’s not trying 2 break the bank, plus Tampa has way nicer weather & no tax.

^Typo^ "Stevie need to come to Tampa"

The problem is that the Bills have their backs against the wall. They literally can't let their star receiver just walk away.
Fans and local media will lambast the ownership for letting a key player (in his prime) leave because of contract issues. How do you sell that kind of news to season ticket holders?

Man I'm from Buffalo
They been doing it for years, I’ll even give you some examples of players leaving cuz they’re cheap: Doug Flutie, Pat Williams, Antoine Winfield, Nate Clements, Jabari Greer, London Fletcher, Ruben Brown & I’ll add Stevie Johnson & Fred Jackson (Because history will repeat itself in this case). Buffalo has been putting up with sorry ass Ralph Wilson because that’s all they have beside the Sabers (When it comes to sports) Local people wonder how he’s in the HOF, when he’s ran the organization in the ground for the last 15yrs & doesn’t care.

I guess you have a good point.
But you would think that Johnson is on a different level and they can’t let him go.
We’ll see.

Did you say cheap ass bills.
I’m a Bucs fan but i would never call another team cheap ass when we are stuck with the cheap @$$ glazers. We don’t have the most salary cap room year in and year out for no reason.
I'm a Tampa fan from Buffalo
So I hear you about the Glazers but at least they attempt to keep their talent it didn’t get bad till the Gruden era. In Buffalo when it’s contract time everyone knows those guys are gone & it’s always been like that.

They keep the wrong "talent" about 50% of the time...
see Jeremy Trueblood, Quincy Black and Michael Clayton. Those 3 lumps of coal have cost Dom/The Glazers a pretty good chunk of change… and Dom some credibility.
by Cracker Ball on Feb 21, 2012 9:25 PM EST up reply actions
Trueblood I can at least see a reason to keep,
Because keeping him helped them keep Davin Joseph, who wanted him back. If I remember correctly, there also wasn’t a whole lot of availability of OT talent in FA last year either.
Agreed
As much as I hate Trueblood, we didn’t really have better options. I think he sticks around this year for the same reason, the last year of his ridiculously overpriced contract. I don’t see him here beyond that unless he’s willing to take a big pay cut and be depth.
I think Demetrius Bell (BUF) would be a good option for us...
to replace Trueblood at RT. He was the LT in BUF before his injury, and is still fairly young. After he went down, BUF had some problems protecting Fitzpatrick.

He says he wants to stay with the Bills
“I talked to (GM Buddy Nix) not too long ago and told him this is home for me,” Bell said. “Hopefully I’ll be back here in a couple of months.”
Also, I’m concerned about his injury history. 2 years in a row he’s been knocked out. Still, he would definitely be an upgrade over Trueblood.
Well fudge...
that leaves Jared Gaither and the Marcus McNeill situation out in SD.

Hello to everyone. I just joined this site and wanted to say hey and that I think Sander runs the best Bucs fan site.
Also I agree with cutting Faine and Trueblood. We tried going after Doug Free last year but he ultimately decided to stay with Dallas. And if we were to break the bank with any free agent, I say go after Carl Nicks from New Orleans. We would have plenty of cap space left to sign Brent Grimes as well from Atlanta. At least with those two signings, it helps us greatly while weakening two separate division foes!
