Quincy Black
I was just on profootballfocus.com, and happened to be looking last years list of free agent linebackers instead of this years. On that list there was Quincy Black, who had an overall grade of a +8.0. They said he graded out since mid 2009 in a positive way in all three linebacker categories, pass rushing, coverage, and run stopping. I had to say something about this because he was so bad last season. Even before Black got his contract extension most people were saying what they say about him now. I am curious if the current coaching regime is going to look at things like this, obviously they have their own way of grading players, but Dom and Co. obviously saw what profootballfocus saw before he got his contract extension. I think he should be cut, we only have a few more weeks to find out what really is going to happen.

I think you were looking at pre-2011 numbers
Pro Football Focus has been extremely critical of Black this season.
But this raises another issue: Quincy Black wasn’t always as bad as he was in 2011. Before that he was a solid two-down linebacker. The question is whether he can return to that form.
See what happens when some players get "paid"...

I agree with Cracker!
He got paid got paid son, Now he’s as fierce as a small bar bouncer. Mason Foster though he has more potential than Quincy has shown in three years he’s got a real future. They need to get someone who can earn the spot over Quincy.

He'll be given another chance I think
One more chance after a bad year when everybody was bad. I hope they at least bring in significant competition so he has to earn his spot.
Gotta bring in somebody to challenge Quincy Black...
which is something they have not done to this point. It’s his job by default – not because he earned it.

That is a problem at almost every single position
It is a HUGE problem with this team. We need a lot more second tier talent just so there’s both competion and depth.
Let's get Zach Brown in the second.

Probably address LB in later round.
Need an FA LB or two. Quincy should be gone.
Levonta David
He is the man, a little small but the dude can knock someone out and a sure tackler.

Dropped 30 points almost
Happened to be on the ProFootbalFocus again, and saw that Black was the Bucs biggest disappointment according to them, he went from an +8.1 rating in 2010 to a -20.9 in 2011. At least Bennet improved from a -5.7 ( non starter ) to a +26.0 as a starter, nice to see someone played well last year.
Hes got 2-3 games to get it going, he better
sander how much money would we lose if we cut black?
