I really like the Sullivan hire
Where’s our DC? I want someone approximately like Sullivan. Young up and comer, but with significant successful NFL experience.
It's no fault of Sullivan or Schiano, but all this work hard, play hard, physical stuff
is just nonsense until we see it in place. We’ve heard this for 3 years. Time to do, not say.
As you can always expect come from behind victory is when you least expect it.
Raye is supposedly a wizard when it comes to coaching RBs.
And Sullivan is very good with QBs and WRs, so we should expect a large improvement in our skill positions with out the addition of new players.

I sure hope so.
I’m praying that last year was on the coaches lack of quality coaching, not the players lack of ability. Given the offensive and defensive play calling, I’m betting it was the coaching.

Been thinking the same thing
A couple players mentioned the lack organization as being an issue in 2011, I don’t see that being a problem with the new staff.

Exactly. How many times
did we hear the practices were great and then when the gameday showed up somehow the preparation and practices went out the window? Tackling??? No excuses. 1st man tackles. If 2nd and 3rd man show up, they can go for ball hawking, but tackle first. And lane assignments should only need one week to correct. How can it go on for 10 games? Where was the coaching? Quality coaching won’t let that happen.
Quality coaching won't let happen
Your exactly right..it was pretty evident that the players knew in the back of their minds that our coaching staff was done by mid season..Accountability everybody!! That’s hopefully what they bring in
Fire up that Blount!

I am sure it will get worked out...
they can ill afford to lose him. I am not a Joe Flacco fan.

They can franchise him easily
Franchise tags for RBs are pretty cheap. In fact, you can expect that to happen with basically every good free agent RB.
Anyone listening to Butch Davis' presser?
Still no idea what he’ll be doing, and he doesn’t sound very convincing about knowing himself. A lot of words, but not a lot being said… That said, he’s a bright football mind, so glad to have him in the fold.
Follow me @worldwidemaldo.
He'll probably do a lot more than he is letting on.
There is no way UNC can monitor what he is doing on a daily basis.

Is Butch eligible to be in the box during games?

So he is gonna be in the booth
Just trying to get a sense of what the restrictions are in the UNC contract.
by GoBuxGo on Feb 16, 2012 5:15 PM EST via iPhone app up reply actions
calling plays from the booth is not hands on?
by bucfanlostiniowa on Feb 16, 2012 9:03 PM EST up reply actions
why not ? UNC got a web cam in there, or maybe a listening device?
Maybe they can see him through the glass with some headphones on, but who is to say who he is really talking to?
by bucfanlostiniowa on Feb 16, 2012 10:34 PM EST up reply actions
It will be between Shiano and the DC to call plays.
Butch came on to help Schiano install the defensive plays, and give advice.
