The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and St. Louis Rams will try to save face in a meaningless game on Sunday, and here's the injury report.
The most significant injury is to St. Louis Rams cornerback Cortland Finnegan. The highly-priced free agent cornerback is an outstanding slot defender and was one of the many highly-priced free agents on the market this offseason. If he can't play, the Rams lose a valuable slot defender which will hurt them especially in run defense. Still, with Janoris Jenkins on the roster they have a lot of talent on defense. Other than that, it seems there was a bit of an epidemic in St. Louis, with three players missing practice due to an illness.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have two significant injuries: cornerback LeQuan Lewis is listed as Questionable after missing the past two games with a knee injury, although he did participate fully in Friday's practice. In addition, defensive end Aaron Morgan is likely to miss Sunday's game with a shoulder injury, and he is listed as Doubtful. Morgan has flashed repeatedly over the past few weeks as a speed rusher, though he's lacking in run defense and should develop some counter moves to his speed.
