The Tampa Bay Buccaneers don't have a lot of injuries, but one of them will hit them hard. Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints have been devastated by injuries.
The Saints will go into Sunday's game missing five players due to injury, and possibly a fifth. Safety Malcolm Jenkins will be out for New Orleans, and given that he's the best player on a very weak secondary this should help Josh Freeman get back to producing explosive plays. The Bucs' defense will be helped most, though: running back Chris Ivory and tackles Zach Strief and Charles Brown will miss Sunday's game. That means the Saints must start a third-string tackle on the right side of their offensive lines, which should allow the Bucs to get more pressure on Drew Brees.
The amount of pressure may be limited, though, as Da'Quan Bowers has missed this week's practices with a hamstring injury. Bowers has been the key to an improved pass rush, and without him the Bucs will struggle to exploit the Saints' injuries. In addition, cornerback LeQuan Lewis is listed as Questionable with a knee injury, making things a little easier for Drew Brees. Roy Miller returned to practice this week.
