Buccaneers cornerback Anthony Gaitor returns to practice

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been hit hard with injuries this season, but at least one player could return from injury soon: cornerback Anthony Gaitor will start practice this week after missing the first 11 weeks of the season. Gaitor was placed on injured reserve but was designated for return in week 4, which means he'll be eligible to return to the lineup in week 14.

The Bucs have been awful in pass coverage this season and could use any help they can get, even if that help is last year's seventh round pick. Gaitor played sparingly last year but looked capable doing so, especially as a slot defender. The return of Da'Quan Bowers has already helped the Bucs' pass rush, but their coverage remains awful. If he can help the Bucs defend the pass just a little bit better, Tampa Bay could be a real threat to make it to the playoffs and do some damage there.
