Bucs beat Panthers in overtime, 27-21

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers managed to beat the Carolina Panthers in the end in one of the craziest comeback victories in the history of the team. Josh Freeman, Vincent Jackson and Doug Martin led two game-ending drives to win the game in overtime.

Panthers take 21-10 lead after goal-line stand

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers looked like they were about to take the lead. They had the ball on the Panthers' goal-line, on fourth-and-one, and they were going for it. Doug Martin got the ball, got the ball over the goal-line - and immediately had it punched out. The referees called it a touchback on the field, and couldn't overturn it -- even though it was pretty clear the ball had crossed the goal-line. Josh Freeman throws pick six

Josh Freeman just made a stupid mistake. Under pressure, he tried to dump it down to Erik Lorig - but he threw off his back foot, lofted the ball and Panthers cornerback Captain Munnerlyn had an easy pick-six. The Panthers have looked utterly inept, yet the Bucs lead just 10-7 now.

Freeman has taken good care of the ball this year, but interceptions like this will happen at times. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come.

The Bucs picked him up off the street earlier this year, and he's subsequently turned into Tampa Bay's best blocking tight end by a mile. The Panthers just lost him in coverage on the touchdown.

A quick drive into field goal range then gave the Bucs the opportunity to add a field goal, and Connor Barth didn't disappoint. They lead 10-0 and the Panthers have, quite frankly, looked rather inept.
