Good morning, Buccaneer fans. My name is Christopher Gates, and I'm the lead blogger over at The Daily Norseman, SB Nation's site dedicated to the Minnesota Vikings.
As the game between our two teams approaches, I'm actually much closer (geographically) to many of you than I am to the Great White North. I'm currently in the middle of a training course at lovely Hurlburt Field here in the panhandle.
Unfortunately, billeting over here at Hurlburt does not have the NFL Network as part of its cable package (which is provided by Cox Cable). I think that there was a point in time that certain local affiliates were airing the NFL Network games in areas that did not have the NFL Network, but with the NFL Network having become more widespread in recent years, I'm not sure if that's still the case. That and Hurlburt isn't that close to Tampa, I don't think, unless my geography is off.
So, if there are any northwest Florida/panhandle residents among you (and I'm pretty sure that there are), can you tell me whether or not any of the local affiliates in the area will be airing this Thursday's game? I hope that somebody is, or else I'm likely going to be stuck with just the audio feed. . .true, it's better than nothing, but obviously I'd like to be able to watch things unfold as well.
Thanks in advance to anyone that can provide some assistance and insight on this matter. I greatly appreciate it.
