NFC Championship Open Thread: Giants at 49ers
We have our first Super Bowl contestant: the New England Patriots, who make it to the big dance for the 5th time in 10 seasons. Now we get to find out who will lift the George Halas trophy and go to Indianapolis to play the Pats. Will the New York Giants beat the San Francisco 49ers? Can Eli Manning find Cruz and Nicks against that tough as nails 49ers defense? Can Alex Smith step up with some heroics again?
Talk about the game, the Bucs, the playoffs, the draft, the coaching search and whatever else here.

The 49ers better win.
I can’t take all the NYers running their mouths and all the the bandwagon Patriot fans too.

They announced it as they went to commercial
Some form of Pizza Hut sponsorship. Good for LGB- that was a memorable lay.

Was a great day for me
I went to that game with my Brotther in law, first time at Green Bay. If anyone gets a chance I highly recomend going. Packer fans are really cool. If you go make sure you go to a old run down bar called Curlys
Good for LGB
To get his name out there in some positive press. Blount did juggernaut his way down the field on that run

I don't think the RAvens wanted to win that game.
A drop, a missed FG and bad clock management. Terrible.
As you can always expect come from behind victory is when you least expect it.
Vernon Davis has officially entered superstar territory.
Fitzgerald wasn’t considered a superstar until he broke out in the playoffs when the Cards went to the superbowl.

Why don't they hire better color commentators?
I’m sure we aren’t the only one who think they suck.

Yup, what the heck was he doing?
It was like he wanted to get a piggy back ride.

Now I'm looking at this game thinking
if Harbagh accomplished this much in his first year in the NFL, what can Kelly accomplish?

Tough comparison, though
Harbaugh had a lot of NFL experience as a QB, and a few years as QB coach. He also ran a pro style offense in college. Kelly runs a spread and has 0 NFL experience.
Oh, I know and more sober reflection will make that fleeting thought seem too hopeful by far
But the news is fresh, sir. Let me dream.
