Chud! Chud! Chud!

I don't know, I'm not sold on him.

Don’t know what he can do without Cam Newton as his QB, beating up on our sorry team. And I don’t want to find out that it’s not good if he’s here.

Chud

He took the worst offense in the league to a top 10 rating. He’s had success everywhere he’s been, and they are some good DC’s out there so we don’t need a defensive minded HC.

Another reason for Chud

is not only his success, but the fact that he’s relatively young. Shotty is almost 70 people!

Tom Coughlin is only 3 years younger than Marty.

He’s still doing a pretty good job with the Giants I’d say. The age thing to me is blown out proportion.

I would like to see Marty get this...

just because of his discipline aspect. Will bring in a new culture and thought process. Add in some strong coordinators (some names possibly in the list above) and get to the task at hand.

Tom Clements or Sherman at OC and Steve Spagnuolo as DC unless he sign before that with NO.

Yes!

ALL ABOARD THE TRENT RICHARDSON TRAIN!!!

by dcbucsfan on Jan 18, 2012 11:59 AM EST up reply actions

Agreed

I wouldnt want Sherman as OC too many heads in the kitchen if thats the case. Tom would be great and Spags would be a dream!

by gusjackson on Jan 18, 2012 12:14 PM EST up reply actions

I say Marty too

like you said ’culture and thought process" its a huge aspect that gets overlooked. I would also throw in organization. Bring on a young OC or DC for Marty to groom and teach the things that gets overlooked so often

by 37champs on Jan 18, 2012 7:06 PM EST up reply actions

That's the one big thing about Marty to me that is very appealing.

We all know he wouldn’t be here very long as HC, but if you look at the guys he’s brought in and what they have done, it really makes you think how he really can set this franchise up for the long haul. His coordinators have not just gone on to be HC’s and had success, they’ve done what Marty hasn’t, won Super Bowls.

#1 Marty #2 Zimmer

And however unlikely, I’d like our next head coach to have Tom Clements as an OC.

I agree right on the money

by dcbucsfan on Jan 18, 2012 11:43 AM EST up reply actions

I think they're interviewing so many candidates...

because they’re going to hire not only one for HC, but maybe another as OC or DC.

A woman who knows her sports.

by Bucs-RaysChick on Jan 18, 2012 11:28 AM EST reply actions

I don't see any obvious DC hires that we've interviewed

Sherman, Chilly, or Clements could be possible OC choices though.

by aakks on Jan 18, 2012 11:30 AM EST up reply actions

I think more important then the coach is the system

On offense I would like a system that would rely on a physical run game and is going to commit to a physical run game all while putting players in a position to be effective on the field
On defense look any coach has to love the potential of our dline maybe a consistent edge rusher would be nice but I would like a system something like what the giants are doing
Overall I am more concerned about the system rather than the coach

1.Marty & 2.Zimmer

Marty can coach the team up and surround them with an educated veteran staff. Zimmer because any man that can call another man a “gutless bastard” during a professional job interview is my kinda guy, plus he did a good job this year.

That's a great point.

Out of all these candidates Marty can bring in the best coaching staff.

and he’s going to be Fishers OC in St Louis.

Brian is heading to join Fisher in St. Louis. So we may have just found or chance to get Marty minus the son.

#1 Fewell #2 Zimmer #3 Marty

I really like both of them but I think we have the personal on D to fit Fewell’s system really well if we can get some better DB’s in the draft, Marty is alright but if he brings his son Brian with him I will have a breakdown he would kill any kind of hope Freeman has at becoming an elite QB

by ShiftyShayne on Jan 18, 2012 3:40 PM EST reply actions

Fewell is DC of one of the worst defenses in the league.

Zimmer is okay and marty could die from natural causes on the field

Nice selection!

Fewell's only bad when he tries to get to complex

now that he got rid of the frantic hand waving and 3 man rush’s the Giants D is rolling, I’m thinking if are young guys on the D-Line can stay healthy they would be a great fit for Fewell’s kind of style

by ShiftyShayne on Jan 18, 2012 4:21 PM EST up reply actions

Fewell D is playing best when it matters most

The playoffs and they’ve been doing a damn good job allowing 11ppg one of which was an offensive shut out. IN THE PLAYOFFs

What We Need 2 Do

Go with the best coach who gives us a chance at winning which I am going to say is Marty. He was forced out of town after a 14-2 season it’s like Packer fans want Mike’s head for going 15-1 and losing give me a break. They’re a lot of good candidates here, but I am tired of looking like a team who doesn’t know left to right nor up or down. If the Glazers don’t spend money this offseason as Bucs fans regardless of who was head coach we should expect a disappointing season. 5th pick or not if Blackmon and/or Claibourne fall to us then it’s a no brainer if neither fall then Trent Richardson. I would love Steve Spags to be our DC, but he probably won’t be around. All I am hoping for is we make the right choice and not make someone like Brad Childress our HC

by DeLaNegro on Jan 18, 2012 4:08 PM EST reply actions

First you want marty, then you want to spend a high draft pick on a running back.

Have you not watched football the last 3 years?

Have You Not Seen This Team In the Last 3 Years

or do I need to remind you 3-13, 10-6 w/o beating a real team and 4-12, Blount has maturity issues and can’t catch out of the backfield to save his life nor execute a blitz pick up. You can’t sit there and deny a play maker when the team plays like utter crap on both sides of the ball. Justin Blackmon is the man I want in a TB uniform will be be there highly doubt it, Claibourne as well will be there highly doubt it. So why the hell not draft a top RB who is a dynamic play maker for a team who doesn’t have one stand out performer. Our entire offense is meh and it’s been that way since before we won the Superbowl in 2002. A bunch of average or above average players with no real flash. Only person we had who was stand out in recent memory outside of Mike Alstott was Keyshawn Johnson and look how long that lasted. And the reason I want Marty he actually will bring discipline to this young team. You fail to realize we have the youngest team in Football it’s a college team playing in the pro’s barely any veteran leadership, so why not bring in an old hard nosed coach to coach up these young guys. Look at how the Giants respect Coughlin and he is old as dirt, so don’t give me that age crap. So now back to your little question have you watched Football in the past 3 years cause I sure hell have…

Chud seen like he fits the bill

Seeing what he did with developing Cam, he can get Freeman to bounce back. If not him I go with Philbin or Clements, I want anybody who can get Freeman back on track.

Zimmer seems like a no nonsense guy which this team needs and he mostly has run good defenses wherever he hae been, there is some talent to work with here on that side of the ball.

The only retread coach I would be ok with is Marty only because he turns around every team he has coached(exception of Washington, Dan Snyder didn’t give him past a yr). At this point we will worry about his playoff failures later, we not in a position to worry about such things like that.

by Brian Ahmed on Jan 18, 2012 5:51 PM EST reply actions

I agree with you on getting Free rolling

but what worries me is the organization of the whole team. The training camp, media, getting players to buy in to your o and d schemes, the little things behind the scene that gets you to the playoffs. I think its a gamble if we go to a 1st year guy that can get overwhellmed, ala Rah. I think we need to worry about the whole team not just the QB position. Marty has been there and knows what it takes to be consistant

by 37champs on Jan 18, 2012 7:23 PM EST up reply actions

Chud doesn't impress me that much.

I like the fact that he can screw up newton more than I like him being our head coach. I’m just not sold on him because he HAD CAM!
