Isn't Mike Nolan a 3-4 guy?

Yup, he ran it in SF, Denver and Miami.

I thought so.
Atlanta is worse of than we are at switching to a 3-4. They are extremely 4-3.

He ran it in Baltimore as well
In the early 2000’s. I’m not too sure how a 3-4 will look in ATL, they’ve got 4-3 personel like we do. I hope they stink at it

I've always wanted to see a 3-4 in the NFC South
Wish it was us, but it should be interesting to see their transition.

This could be a big help for us going forward. Their defense has been sub par recently, even in a 4-3.
Switching to a 3-4 is a rebuilding process for them. And could also make it less likely for Curtis Lofton to stay in free agency. I would love to land him to the Bucs.

They don't really have much in terms of defensive line talent, though
Abraham’s a free agent, and old. Babineaux is good. The rest can’t do all that much.
But they’ve already they’re staying in a 4-3.
Then why get Mike Nolan?
by flash_kiley on Jan 18, 2012 12:20 PM EST via Android app up reply actions
He can run a 4-3, relatively speaking
"I'm a little dysfunctional

The Bisaccia talk is really getting crazy.
No special teams coordinator has ever jumped to head coach. Even Harbaugh got promoted to a year of coaching the secondary before he got hired as head coach. Considering the Glazers just failed with a vastly under-qualified coach, it would baffle me if they selected Bissaccia.

Ha. Just read the article and Mayock says the exact same thing about the DB promotion.

Also, didn't he leave because he wasn't getting along with Dom?
I don’t understand the Bissacia talk at all.
I hope we do something fairly soon...
because it appears we may have to face Mike Nolan AND Steve Spagnuolo twice a year from here on out. Spagnuolo interviewed on NO for their vacant DC position.
C’mon Glazers, make a decision already.
They are going to spend (in time) what ever it takes to win.
A good HC is one thing, but is nothing without good assistants. They’re all going bye bye.
Where the heck is Keyser?
Spags is interviewing for the Indy dc job as well.
He would be a great fit here.

Remember this isnt the first time they did this
They got Dungy in late january and they picked up Gruden via trade in febuary. So this isn’t out of the ordinary.

We are waiting....
On Perry Fewell, I mean its pretty obvious. This organization has seen the giants win a super bowl with a defensive line that ate the Buccaneers up on their home turf and that same success has transferred through Fewell. With as much as we put into our D-line that is who they are waiting on.
Building on that if we dont get Fewell, is which the brass values more in terms of getting the team back to the playoffs and beyond; an offensive guy to develop Freeman or a defensive guy to develop our D-line?
I would rather
Develop Freeman. But your right they are waiting for Perry Fewell. If he interviews well he will most likely get the job. I wish there was a way to get him as DC and get Chud as head coach.
If we can get that d-line to play like the giants d-dilne its a wrap
ALL ABOARD THE TRENT RICHARDSON TRAIN!!!
We need alittle more than that
This team goes as far as freeman takes it. If we get dont some good cb play good dline wont matter teams will still be beating us up and down the field
yea.
especially since our d-line is more impressionable since they are younger. with the exception of pierre-paul. I was completely wrong abt him. I thought he’d be a bust.
Pierre-Paul was just raw.
Lucky for him, the Giants are really good at developing ends.
One that thing thats still hard for me to grasp
Is how this team quit. They absolutely quit on Raheem Morris. The part that really makes me mad is they quit then turned around and said how much they loved him. Thats like your wife cheating on you 15 times and then saying I still love you…..no! We need a babysitter, not a coach!
Personally, I kind of liked the OMFG-guy.
He looked like Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite.
Am I going MAD, or did the word "think" escape your lips?
