Daily Bucs Links 9/8/11 - Gerald McCoy vs Ndamukong Suh and Ronde Barber owns the streak
Tampa Bay Buccaneers' Gerald McCoy knows Ndamukong Suh comparisons are coming - St. Petersburg Times
The comparisons will come, and they're pointless. Suh is a great player, McCoy has the potential to be a great player. Yet both also play very different styles.

We talked about this a couple of days ago, but this streak is really incredible, especially for a defensive player. Derrick Brooks had an even more impressive streak.

Blackout deadline looms for Bucs' opener against Detroit | TBO.com
I'd be shocked if this game wasn't blacked out, which is pretty sad especially given the fact that the Bucs will be commemorating Lee Roy Selmon. If the game doesn't sell out, hopefully the Glazers decide to buy up the tickets.

I cant beleive Myron Lewis...
Is hurt again. This kid can literally sneeze and pull a hamstring. He has some skills but he’s made out of glass. I’m hoping Anthony Gaitor can jump him on the depth chart. I don’t think he’ll be around much longer. If we draft a corner in the 1st or 2nd round next year, resign Talib, and Biggers and Gaitor continue to improve Myron may be in danger of not making this team next season.

Myron Lewis has the potential to be very very good
And a few minor injuries does not a man of glass make. Injuries happen in the NFL. He’s just unfortunate.
Thats all he has is potential and he has the potential to be solid, thats it hes no revis so why keep him around if hes always injured?

I can't beleave that the Buck's didn't go after Nnamdi
When we were looking at teams that could afford him; I instantly thought how easy it would have been for TB to get him to come down there and be the CB to play lights out football, and enjoy the Florida high-life. I still can not figure out how Philly landed him with all the other players that they acquired this off-season. And they gave Vick a brinks truck as well.
How many lumps you want Doc?
hey big guy...
Its the Buc’s not Buck’s. thats a basket ball team…
My bad. lol
But in my defense, BUCKS was the right way to spell it when talking about going after Nnamdi. It was a bad spelling mistake on my behalf though.

McCoy vs Suh?
I wish we had Suh. McCoy has got to come out white hot this season just to be on pace with Suh, it’s not a bad thing though that goes for ever other starting DT in the league. Barring career-ending injury or physically beating up Roger Goddell for another hefty fine, Suh will be the standard for what a DT needs to do on the field. Congrats to Ronde for being a REAL iron-man as a defensive player in the thick of things for every snap he’s been on the field.

Those 2 may be compared for their entire careers.
But other than the position that they play, they are nothing a like. We debated the living Sh!t out of them 2 before that draft over at the POD. And they both have very unique styles of play, which they are both still mastering. Now SUH had a upper hand in his development last year, case in point just look at KVB, and C-Williams. KVB is a high-motor guy who will not let you take a play off and demands that you run your butt off down field with aggression. I dont recall McCoy having that guy on the DE for the Bucks last year. And Corey Williams is a stud at the other DT position who also demands double teaming on most plays. I don’t recall McCoy having that luxury either. You guys would know better than me about the quality around him last year but I can’t see it being as good as what Suh had around him.
How many lumps you want Doc?
Bucks, really want to go there?
