Fantasy Football Open Thread
I created this fanpost so we could all have a place to discuss fantasy football. Please rec this post so it remains at the top of the page. Feel free to ask questions about matchups, trade offers, etc. The community can all come together and hopefully help you out.
I know this doesn't really pertain to the Bucs only, but I love this site and have been hankering for some good fantasy football discussion. What better place to have it than here with you guys?
Don't come in here and tell us that nobody cares about our fantasy teams. This thread is for the people that do care.
If this thread really takes off and the comments get out of control I'll delete this post and simply create another one. I guess that's about it. Enjoy.

I'll start.
I just flipped LGB for Stafford in the league where I drafted Peyton Manning (had draft waaayyy too early). Now I have Stafford and Fitzpatrick. Do you think I can flip Fitz for an elite WR to a team that is weak at QB?

I might try trading Stafford sooner than I'd try trading Fitz, honestly
Mostly because in value the two aren’t that different, but Stafford will probably get you a better return. I don’t know if you can get an elite WR, but certainly a starter.
I got Stafford for Reggie Bush after week 1.
Ridiculous trade-rape. In my defense though, I really thought Bush was going to remain relevant in Miami’s offense. His week 1 performance was pretty damn good…
Am I going MAD, or did the word "think" escape your lips?
So glad I grabbed Daniel Thomas late in the draft
He has more than made up for Knowshon Moreno’s lack of effective play in Denver. I really bought into the John Fox will hand him the rock theory. Couldn’t have been more wrong.

You are right about the Fox theory
but Moreno is not a tough runner, and Willis will get the call more often than not.
TTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!
lol did you hear that Denver Fans are buying bilboards in support to start Tebow. What a nightmare.

haha
Tebow got into the game a couple of weeks ago. As the emergency wide receiver. I wonder if Brady Quinn loves or hates Tebow? He is paid like a first round draft pick, he doesn’t have to play, and the fans aren’t even clamoring for him to start over Orton, and want Tebow instead. It’s like he isn’t even there.
If I was the Broncos I would just start Tebow for one game once they are statistically out of the playoffs. That should shut the fans up real quick, once they see how he can’t read an NFL defense at all.

Also, what three WRs would you pick out of these six to play Sunday?
Bowe vs Min
AJ Green vs Buffalo
Percy Harvin vs KC
Manningham vs Arizona
Sidney Rice vs Hotlanta
Nate Washington at Cleveland.

Thanks.
I was thinking Bowe, Harvin, Washington, but only because Green only had a couple of catches last week. Not sure if Dalton can get him the ball consistently, but same goes for Bowe.

Bowe is due for a big game
and Minnesota will find a way to make Cassel look good. In the second half anyway…

Really wish i had joined you guys at the Bucs Nation Fantasy Football league...
but i spend way too much time on a separate league as it is. Anyways, i drafted our very own Mike Williams and the guys is freaking killing me. Seriously, what’s up with Mike? I’d consider cutting him but i can’t do it because he’s on the can’t cut list. Trading him won’t do me anything since i know i wouldn’t be able to get much. On a separate note, i was offered LT from the Jets for Deion Branch from NE. Deion Branch was pretty good the first two weeks but failed to bring down a catch last week while LT has been a non-factor the first two weeks and managed to have a decent game last week. I’m only considering this because i’m kind of weak at RB. What do you guys think?
Still waiting for the day that the NFL comes back to LA...
Who are your other WRs.
Would LT be starting or bye week depth? Who is their opponent that week?
Williams is killing everybody that drafted him, but I feel more sorry for the guys that picked Freeman up late thinking they were getting a steal. His numbers are way down from last year. The only player on the Bucs with fantasy relevance right now is Blount. Even Winslow is having a really off year. Graham is probably worth picking up in PPR leagues as he has 20 catches through the first 3 games.

Good point, everyone except Blount is struggling right now on the offense. Blount needs to be more consistent in finding the endzone - He was awesome in Minnesota though.
My other WR’s besides Branch and Mike Williams are Eric Decker, Sidney Rice, Devery Henderson, Dexter McCluster listed as a RB/WR, and Torrey Smith from Baltimore. I just got Smith off waivers.
If i were to get LT he would definitely be bye week depth. Thing is, i have both AP and MJD but they both have the same damn bye week (week 9). I guess this is my fault for drafting poorly but i managed to get MJD at the end of the 2nd round. Other than the aforementioned McCluster, i only have Ben Tate right now. While Tate has been solid, i think he’ll be headed back to the bench with Foster coming back in this week.

Williams needs to get it together...
I’m starting rookies over him at this point. (Denarious Moore and Randall Cobb)

Me too
I have a similar dillema, Pick one
Sydney Rice, Mike Williams TB, Plaxico, D. Moore OAK?

Rice.
He had over a hundred last week. Should still see a lot of targets

Yeah, it was Rice's first game back so he should be good here on out.

I would take a week off on Moore.
Jacoby Ford is back this week, so it’s not certain Moore will see as many targets.

I wouldn't accept that
LDT is definitely behind Greene for touches, while Branch is currently the only competent outside receiver the Pats have.
Thanks for your input Sander.
I’m going to try to pick up some sleepers for RB depth. I just picked up Kendall Hunter from SF and dropped Mike Williams – hate doing it but it must be done. I’m going to keep an eye on Mike since he was money last year during fantasy playoffs though. I also hear good things about the TE/RB from the Texans.

Should I play Nate Washington or Percy Harvin?
I know most weeks it would obviously be Washington, but I’m worried Joe Haden might shut him down this week.
"Few things are harder to put up with than the annoyance of a good example." ~ Mark Twain
Harvin is the better player
But the Vikings really haven’t used him much. I’d still go with Washington.
Hey guys.
Percy Harvin or AJ Green this week? Also, stuck in bye week hell I’m stuck playing either Michael Bush or Dexter McCluster as my RB2. I have McFadden as my RB1, so not sure if I should double dip on him and Bush. McCluster is supposedly poised for a breakout game, but I’m not sure.
