The Buccaneers Insider Video from 8/1 on
www.buccaneers.com has some pretty decent footage of yesterday’s padded practice. Blount has a great run at the goal line toward the end.
Here is the incase anyone has trouble finding it

I prefered the thick, Amish neck-beard look.
Now I can see that he has no chin…
Am I going MAD, or did the word "think" escape your lips?
John Clayton just said that we have only spent $22 million so far and 30 more to go to get to the cap.
That seems untrue because of our inactivity in FA. If we are that far away I would expect the bucs to spend away.
That is, IF we had any intention signing good people and getting close to the cap...
which we obviously do not. If we don’t improve this season, all of this will blow up later.

Bucs are $30 million under the cap
Not really a surprise. Remember that cap money is not the same as cash
I'm confused on how all of that works.
Do the bonuses and things like that get us to the cash floor?
The cash floor doesn't apply this year, apparently
See: http://www.bucsnation.com/2011/7/30/2305093/cash-minimum-cap-floor-dont-apply-in-2011-2012-per-team
It only applies on the league as a whole, not on individual teams.
As for the difference between cash and cap, the biggest differences comes in signing bonuses and incentives. Certain incentives don’t count against the cap because they’re unlikely to be earned. Signing bonuses are, for cap purposes, pro-rated over the length of a contract. So if you hand out a 5-year contract with a $10 million signing bonus, that means $2 million of that signing bonus will count in each of those 5 years. The $10 million is still handed out to the player in the first year, but only counts for $2 million against the cap in that year.
Both signing bonuses and incentives are spent in real money, and hence do count against the cash floor in the year they’re actually spent.
My favorite line today:
“I said, ’I’m not going to let you talk to him, but thanks,’ " Dominik said.
