Michael Silver claims the two sides are "closer to an agreement than many people realize - perhaps than even some of the people involved realize." Of course, Michael Silver is the same guy who claimed that talks were almost breaking down last week.

It seems that the retired players are not happy with the way the NFLPA is representing them in the current settlement talks. I doubt this is going to have much of an impact, though.

Pewter Report thinks Jeremy Trueblood returns to the Bucs, despite the fact that he could get some big money elsewhere (I don't think he can, honestly). I doubt the Bucs sign him as anything other than a backup.
