The Buccaneers have focused exclusively on the defensive side of the ball, despite their claims that they're building around Josh Freeman. Of course their response was that more defensive talent gets the ball back to Freeman more quickly, but I can justify any draft as being about Freeman that way. No matter, the Bucs definitely needed a lot more talent on the defensive side of the ball than on offense. but now that we come to the last rounds of the draft, we may see that change. The Bucs could use some help on the offensive line, a receiving tight end wouldn't look bad for depth and they really need a change of pace back and a third-down back to complement Legarrette Blount.
While the draft's going on, you may want to read about yesterday's draft picks Mason Foster and Da'Quan Bowers and how the Bucs' draft picks fit together. There's also our Day Three Preview, to get a sense for some prospects the Bucs may be targeting.
