Around SBN: Seahawks Trade for TE Kellen Winslow

Sorry if you guys already knew this, or if your minds are made up about Aqib Talib. In my opinion it looks like Talib is going to be cleared of his charges, which makes me hope that the Bucs do not flat out release the star cornerback. Not trying to beat on a dead drum here but based on the current roster I think the Bucs can certainly win their division with Talib, without at best we might steal a wild card. Raheem Morris of all people should be able to give a reasonable opinion to Mark Dominik pertaining to if he believes Aqib was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and this really is NOT Aqib, or if Talib simply sill never change, and forever be a trouble maker. Either way this is positive news for Aqib Talib.

Good news I say...

Clearly Talib has anger issues and a lack of good judgement. That said though, we need him. Biggers is good, but he’s no Talib, and Barber is another year older. Without Talib our defense will be in a world of trouble, with him opposing #1 recievers get shut out. Simple as that…

If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

You know it Kilgore

Hope like hell we can say He’s Baaaack!! No way it makes sense in football terms to flat out release him, young and dumb I say. Everyones made mistakes as a youngster, he just needs mentoring so prevent future mistakes

The problem is

He’s still looking at a 4 game suspension, maybe, kinda’. Rothlesburger got 4 to 6 games, and he was never charged. This is his second strike (him decking the cabbie). We will be lucky to have him the 4th week. Thant might hurt the D just a bit.

When in doubt... punt. Always keep 'em guessing.

Great news for Tampa!!

Without ANY physical evidence and no credible witnesses (the loser boyfriends account is worthless) it is very likely the charges will be tossed. He may be charged with a misdemeanor (leaving the scene) but this is great news.

Unfortunately, it is almost certain that Godell will suspend him for at least 2 games…

If you seach Talib Ward on Google

there is an ex cop that says he never saw Talib with a gun if that helps. Lets just hope that Mark and Raheem will give him a last chance. The way I see the whole thing, Talib is a top five corner in the NFL, this Shannon Billings is a forty two year old child molester. If Talib had intentions of shooting him I highly doubt Billings would out run him if Talib chased. The gun that was found was actually Billings, not Talib’s.

He still ran from the cops.

Elluding, obstruction are some other charges that can be applied.

"ran from the cops?"

He left the scene before the cops showed up, it’s not like there was a pursuit or anything. He did turn himself in, unless I’m mistaken.

If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

What are the charges for claiming, "It wasn't me. My mom pulled the trigger."

Throwing your own mom under bus. There’s gotta be something there right?

In all seriousness, if he’s cleared of any felony. I think the team, and certainly the league will suspend him for a couple games. It’s just one to many times of something with him.

Well his mother attempted to stab another woman over a fifty dollar debt

when young Aqib was ten years old. The gun found at the scene was Billings, not Talib’s so I want to know this.. How does a forty two year old running away from a top level athlete happen to not only dodge the bullets, but also turn around and see Aqib allegedly firing at him also. If Aqib wanted to shoot him, he would have chased him down and popped him. This whole story was most likely fabricated because Billings thought he could get paid somehow.
