I'd love to see Freeman call plays,

that would be an improvement over who is calling plays now.

My only issue is when we do the hurry up, they don’t seem to be in a hurry.

Raheem was the DREAM that turned into a NIGHTMARE..

Josh Freeman has had the reigns...

and little has been done with it. It is very easy to lay the blame on OC Greg Olson (who more than deserves his share) but Freeman must be blamed for his inability to execute whatever rudimentary and 7th grade level play Olson has crayoned up. Plenty of blame to throw around, but Freeman is young and still learning. His OC and position coach (Olson/VanPelt) are responsible for not having Josh better prepared and repairing his fundamentals. Therein lies the problem…

Not sure what he can learn from somebody like Olson.

?

As far as I know, Freeman hasn’t had the reigns until this past week, and he played a heck of a lot better than he has been. Olson is way too predictable and vanilla, if I can tell you what the team is gonna do, so can the other team. I still believe Freeman is the real deal, just needs some coaching and play calls that work.

Too little Too late

Olson must know he’s a goner, because talking about a change of tempo with 1 game left boggles me. Where was this sense of offensive innovation 2 months ago?

I think the Bucs were struggling to find a compromise between two modes of play at that time

One was the run-heavy, play-action game and the other was the up-tempo two-minute drill style of play. The result was an offense that did neither.

by Sander on Dec 26, 2011 11:03 AM EST up reply actions

The result was terrible, a bunch of three and outs and turnovers.

I can’t believe we lead the league in turnovers. We look like the Three Stooges out there. And the rest of the league shows us about that much respect. When we played Dallas the promo said “Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers”. We don’t even have a player that they could put up there. I see that out of Cleveland, Indy, Washington and I would be chuckle to myself. Now, apparently, we are one of those teams. Never thought I would see the day. That’s one of the reasons we need a splash in free agency. Back to respectability Bucs. Vincent Jackson, Dwayne Bowe, Desean Jackson, LaRon Landry are all available. Get one!! Or make a trade. Let’s Go Bucs!!!!

please dont trash the 3 stooges.

Moe, Larry and curly need better coaches then beevis and butthead. Bring on speedy gonzalez as our scat back. Add Wiley coyote as our new corner. I will take foghorn leghorn instead of Q black. Finally, bugs bunny and Elmer fudd can be our new HC and OC.

I'm getting on that train slowly but surely.

He would be our playmaker, and someone the defense would have to gameplan for.

you split carries wit him and blount?

omg. and that opens up the pass game for sure

I would get both if them at least 17 carries, and Trent would get at least 3 catches.

With both of them, we could ride the hot hand. Or use Blount as trade bait with our third round to get back into the second round and pickup a corner or linebacker, whichever we didn’t take with the first one.
