PrintAfter just a little more than a quarter, the Bucs were leading 14-0 and looked like a dominant team against an incompetent Jaguars team.
And then, the Jaguars scored 28 points. First, Parker lost a fumble on a punt, returned for a TD. Then Sean Jones allowed Marcedes Lewis to blow by him to get to the goal-line, and Maurice Jones-Drew pounded it in. A lost fumble by Josh Freeman on a sack where Donald Penn looked terrible gave the Jaguars their next touchdown, while the final touchdown came on a two-minute drive after an interception by Josh Freeman. Yeah. It's been a complete meltdown.

there is only one team on the field today

No, I agree with him.
Alstott had the same problem for a few years, trying to force more yards but not securing the ball well. When Alstott went back to keeping his focus on the ball, he fumbled less.

a couple weeks into the season every team is ‘focused’ and i know weird things happen but when you playing an inferior team like the bucs why not play just enough to win? this team will loose games for themselves if given the chance so why not try new plays? why not run diff things for later games in the season?

The issue is Raheem, but when Ruud can only get a 1 year deal and manages to get benched (I mean "injured") in favor of a rookie. It makes Steve White look silly dedicating weekly articles to the Ruud haters.

i also think you need to bring in someone like jim zorn
to work with freeman b/c he made no progression this year; and i hate to say it but regression to the point where a new staff might take a hard look at him as the qb going forward. with such a rich qb draft who knows if a new HC wants to draft his guy or keep free around.
