What will be the Bucs final record?

It's halfway through the season and the Bucs are currently 4-3 heading into a huge game against the Saints. Including the upcoming game, what do you think Bucs final record will be? 8-8? 9-7? 10-6? 4-12? (I hope not). I personally think we will get to 10-6. What do you think?

Ask me again after the game on Sunday

If we win, 10-6 or 11-5.
If we lose, 9-7 or 8-8.

If only

the players thought every half was the second half, then we might have a chance.

No matter how much they are hyped, my teams always find a way to disappoint.

11-5

Saints – They lt cant handle clayborn , They center isnt gonna be ready for gmc , There other tackle is out for the season so bennett/bowers could have a breakout game . With this edge & if blount can be effective it’s a win for us .

Texans – Tough game if andre johnson come back this week while we play the saints , But if he come back when we play him it would be easier to get him in his first game back , But we gotta stop foster point blank period , Mario williams is not gonna be a worry so , This maybe a game we win also .

Packers – It’s simple we reallt the last team to beat them when they were completely healthy , I know they added a couple more player but we did too , I also think raheem morris scheme for rodgers & bree’s is a good one besides the fluke plays we give up every now & then it works , Then our d-line have to get the six sacks we got last time we played them , Idk i hope we have a chance here bbut they hot so ill mark it as a close lose .

Titans – no kenny britt , no dynamic chris johnson , just gotta get to hasselback , win .

Panthers – These games are gonna be some good games , We really need to get to cam , As well as shawdow steve smith , I think our offense has the edge on there defense , But we gotta get turnovers on defense . Win .

Jaguars – Stop drew jones , Stop drew jones , Pressure gabbert , Win .

Cowboys – We gotta show up under the lights for once we get an impressive win infront of the nation , We make romo look terrible with pressure & free carve’s out there secondary . Win .

Panthers – i just gotta feeling this the only team we gonna split with in the division . Lose

Falcons – Same formula run the ball , Stop the run , Get pressure & turnovers , Limit yard’s per pass play . Win .

The Positive For Us ......

We havent played our best football yet .

The offense has not had a game where both the passing game & the running game controlled the whole game like that seattle game last year .

Freeman has not been close to being sharp , Let alone protecting the ball .

Blount hasnt had his dominating games where he pound pound pound then the 4th quarter come in they get tired of tackiling him in he just wear them out .

None of our recievers from have seperated them selves as a go 2 guy yet , Briscoe & parker are maybe our most consistent guys in they are our 3rd & 4th wideout . williams & benn & winslow & stocker need to seperate themselves from the pack upward .

Offensive line has been playing well but we gotta get better at left guard .

Defense has been good but not great we really havent played complete games all toghether where the d-line , linebackers , & secondary all complement each other in be solid threw out a whole game .

D-line – Has been great getting off the ball & applying pressure but we have been barely missing on sacks we had two 4 sack games but we need that consistenly , We have been ok against the run but not consistent . Hopefully our best ball is ahead .

Linebackers – Foster is the best as a rookie , He has been doing everything from run stuffing to pass rushing & even good coverage for the most part , Black & hayes need to step up in play better & consistent . They be great some games & lost other games gotta get consistent here .

Defensive backs – We gotta be better , We gotta consistent , we gotta take advantage of our opportunities point blank period the d-line is leading the way , they just gotta ride them wideouts to the ball come . T-jack & barber are a blessin , but biggers , jones , lewis , & most of all talib need to step up this half of the season .

Special teams – Best side of the ball on the team nothing else need be said .

9-7 just might be a playoff berth this year

I think that Dallas game is gonna be a big one this year.

by Carlitin1988 on Nov 3, 2011 3:40 PM EDT reply actions

9-7 is only playoffs if we win the division

Sweeping NO and ATL would be a huge step for that. We aren’t getting a wildcard with 9 wins, maybe not even with 10.

by aakks on Nov 4, 2011 8:38 AM EDT up reply actions   1 recs

Especially considering

We’ve already lost to Detroit and Chicago.

by RookTakesYou on Nov 4, 2011 9:36 AM EDT up reply actions

Yep

We’ve totally screwed the pooch on wildcard tiebreakers. At least we can still nail the division tie breakers. At this point I think we need to win the division or we aren’t going to the playoffs. We’ll see.

by aakks on Nov 4, 2011 10:45 AM EDT up reply actions

I agree

I think we have to win the division. Point blank. We can start by sweeping all the rivals. And if we can do that and get 10 wins we are good. The most important game will be the last game at ATL. If we win that we go into the playoffs with some strong momentum.

by dcbucsfan on Nov 4, 2011 1:56 PM EDT up reply actions

I think I had the Bucs at 10-6 at season's start, and little so far has changed my mind...

Although Houston is now looking a lot scarier than I originally considered…

If the Bucs do indeed make it to 10-6, it may well happen with the Saints imploding, either ensuring Tampa Bay wins the division or else be in a decent spot for a wild card (although Detroit’s currently secure with the fifth seed leaving the dog fight for sixth between us and whoever’s in second place in the NFC East).

Time to shamelessly plug my book and short story!

by witty on Nov 4, 2011 9:14 AM EDT reply actions

Still say 7-9 with no playoffs... and some changes WILL happen at One Buc Place.

Greg Olson will be kaput at seasons end. Raheem needs a DC (actually Morris needs to BE the DC – but that’s another post for another time).

I think that NO will come out with “guns-a-blazin” after that peculiar loss to STL. I think their season hinges on bouncing back from that – I think they play angry in a win.

by Cracker Ball on Nov 4, 2011 10:12 AM EDT reply actions

So you dont like Rah as the coach?

I think we will come out the gate on fire after a bye and the loss in London and knowing the importance of this game on the road.

by dcbucsfan on Nov 4, 2011 1:54 PM EDT up reply actions

On fire?

Name me one game this year where we came out of the gate on fire. I hope so DC but our recent history doesn’t reflect a team that has that capability just yet. 7-9 is the most likely scenario based on what we’ve seen thus far from the Jeckyl/Hyde nature of our young warriors. Changes if that occurs? I agree Olson is mediocre at best and Morris should have been the dc first before becoming the hc but it is what it is. If Olson can’t get a more consistent offensive effort going and sooner than the fourth quarter I could see him being shown the door. I wouldn’t put any money on it though.

by ncbucfan on Nov 5, 2011 8:44 AM EDT up reply actions

We will see. I think Rah is a great coach. Look at how he gets his guys going.

Olson…. eh…… i dont know. But i think at least we get 9-7. I dont see us going on a losing streak. At least we may go up and down all year.

by dcbucsfan on Nov 5, 2011 1:40 PM EDT up reply actions

going game by game I see

@Saints W
Houston L
@Green Bay L
@Tennesee W
Carolina W
@Jacksonville W
Dallas L
@Carolina L
@Atlanta L

So I say 8-8

No matter how much they are hyped, my teams always find a way to disappoint.

So I guess 7-9 now.

This group of coaches and dreamers have destroyed the BUC’s we will be a team like we were in the mid 80’s after this experiment gone bad puts it’s final touches on it. NEXT MAN UP “RIGHT”

After today I vote 4-12

RAHEEM IS A JOKE! OLSON IS GARBAGE! THE GLAZERS SUCK!

After that crap yesterday

5-11..they have one more in them, maybe two and that is it…..

East Coast Fan

by Bucfan on Nov 7, 2011 3:02 PM EST reply actions

I really think 6 is the absolute floor

Split with the Panthers and beat the Jags, lose everything else. I just can’t see them losing almost every game going forward.

I’m thinking 7-9 or maybe 8-8 at this point. 9-7 would really surprise me.

Yugly.
