Question for Bucs Nation
Hello Bucs nation I had a couple questions for you about Adrian "cabbie-killa" Clayborn. What have your overall thoughts been of him throughout the year? Does he seem to take plays off? He is one of my favorite and most hated hawkeye alumni for his amazing performances one game and seemingly sleep walking through the next.
Also, I was hoping to see Adrian match up against the packers RT (Bulaga), any chance that happens or does he just stay on the Left side Offense, right side Defense.

Unless Bulaga moves to left tackle, you're not going to see Clayborn play him
He stays at right defensive end.
Anyway, Clayborn has looked very, very good in my opinion. He had a stretch of a couple of games in which he really destroyed opposing tackles. Really poor pass coverage hasn’t helped him notch a ton of sacks, but he’s certainly made his presence felt. He has kind of slowed down the last couple of games, though.
Effort is never a question with Clayborn from what I’ve seen. He goes all-out every snap and hustles to the whistle.
Clayborn has been one of the few bright spots this year
His motor doesn’t seem to stop, so I’m not sure about the sleep walking comment. Seems totally out of character for him.
Yugly.
Clayborn sleep walking
If you were to ask any at Blackheartgoldpants they would affirm my sleep walking comment. After a monster breakout 2009 season he seemed to get frusturated with the double teams 2010 and took his fair share of plays off. Which frusturated a lot of people consider there were three NFL players on the dline.
He is awesome player, relentless at times. So many plays were he ran the running back down behind the offensive line behind the opposite tackle in college.
I am glad that he has worked out for you guys. Does he see any double teams in the pros or just the occasional chip.
Well I did not follow his college career
This is the first time I’ve heard that, but I’ll take your word for it. Hope it is a bad habit he has purged!
Yugly.
I think he is doing well
for a rookie, he isn’t jumping off the field or anything but he does make plays when he can, but i feel he isn’t trying to take plays off, just he isn’t used to working this hard because he’s used to college, less athletic, less skilled tackles, PLUS with the lockout it was hard for him to mentally prepare for the jump in skill.
With an offseason, and a training camp he and the other DE we have should be tougher mentally as well as physically because nothing is a surprise! And i’m sure the fact that the Bucs where supposed to be good and the fact that they arnt is messing with their heads……
Clayborn has been a great pick and player fir us.
Cant say that I have seen him take any plays off whatsoever…
