I know I know the draft is almost a year away, but in our pre-season game the need for a defensive end was pretty apparent. So I was thinking...and then it hit me I know who the bucs need. Defensive end out of Iowa Adrian Clayborn. I will explain after the jump why this guy would be a perfect fit for us.
WIth Gerald McCoy demanding the double that leaves single blocking on the rest of the line. So why are we not getting to the QB at all. Stylez White...great story but sorry we can be a superbowl winning team with him. Unless on the other side we have Clayborn. Who dominated the NCAA last year totaling 11 sacks and 63 tackles. He would be a force on the edge. So that leaves Offensive Coordinators with a choice...double McCoy and leave Clayborn to blindside your QB, or double Clayborn and have Mccoy run right through your center. He is also a force on the punt block as he blocked a punt and took it to the house against Penn State he altered many others. At 6'3 282 this guy could dominate many offensive lines and block passes at the line which helps your team in so many ways. As you probably remember the last and only superbowl we won in 2002 was with another great DT/DE combo Warren Sapp and Simeon Rice. Could this be a blast from the past? And win us more than just one...I think that could happen as long as the bucs do poorly which many experts expect we could be high up in the draft and get Clayborn. This is my first fan post so go easy on me, if it gets a good response I may right another post.
