Arrowhead Pride Annual Mock - Bucs On The Clock

Hello, I am a member of and we are running our annual mock draft. I chose to be the GM for the Buccaneers. I love the fact that they have 3 of the top 45 picks. Right now, we are currently in the 2nd round. My first round pick was pretty easy. Ndamukong Suh was off the board, and i chose Gerald McCoy. To be quite honest, even if Suh was on the board, I still would have chosen McCoy. In my opinion, McCoy is the “perfect” fit for that 1-gap Tampa-2. In the 2nd round, I believe I came up on a gem. Obviously this draft is deep. There will be 1st round guys that fall into the 2nd, and vice versa. Sitting there at 35th overall was Defensive End Everson Griffen. My thought process with selecting him is, pairing him with McCoy and making life miserable for opposing quarterbacks. I call it the Sapp and Rice affect. After the jump, I will provide the links to both of my picks. Check out the articles and let me know what you think. I can take criticism! Also, I have another pick coming up, and I want your help. I have a couple of guys in mind.

Round 1 Selection (3rd) - DT, Gerald McCoy

Round 2 Selection (35th) - DE, Everson Griffen

Since i’ve addressed the defensive line with my first two picks, my thinking is we I need to add something to the offense, or to the back 7. Here are the guys im thinking about selecting 42nd.

1. WR, Arrelious Benn - Big and powerful receiver who can catch the ball over the middle and get yac.

2. CB, Kareem Jackson - Tough tough corner who plays very well in zone. Excellent in the run game, and very good speed.

3. OLB (Will), Daryl Washington - One of the most athletic linebackers in the draft. Can cover the TE, RB, and slot at times. Adds more speed to the team.

So guys, let me know which one you think best suites the Bucs. If you don't like any of the guys I’ve suggested, feel free to throw some names out there. Please give some explanations too. THANKS!
