It is with great sadness that I must inform our Bucem readers that most of the videos I have been working on will cease to be shown directly on Bucem. New video policy has been brought down from SB Nation in order to protect us from potential lawsuit from the NFL, or other league for that matter. The following guidelines MUST be met in order to post a video on Bucem or any SB Nation blog...
- 60 seconds Maximum duration, under extreme cases; 15-30 seconds should be the norm
- The video MUST be used to enforce your point or subject of the article or post. Example: Warrick Dunn always ran with the ball in his right hand. Video must be of Warrick Dunn carrying the ball.
- use must be purely editorial, to constitute fair use of video
As a result of these changes, none of the videos that I do on Bucem will be allowed on the site anymore. For some of you, that is good news. For the ones that enjoyed the videos, I have made arrangements for them to be seen. A bucem reader will be taking over a website devoted to showing videos. He will also finish showing the Bucem 25 best Bucs games of all time. Bucshots is our aggregator of not only news but now any Bucs related content, including videos. So Bucshots will link to videos from other sites, including the ones that I do. Edit Buttons in Comments: Several of you requested this feature over time and in our request for your help to improve Bucem. I submitted the request through the lines with SBNation and basically was explained in this way;
The comments are supposed to be quick thoughts and responses. Each person should take the time to double check their work before submitting their comments, because there is no editing. The idea behind it is that if a comment were to be edited, the entire thread of comments below it would make no sense.
I do not fully agree with this; If a Moderator hides or deletes a comment, all the comments below it in the thread are removed as well, and that also confuses people. But that function is allowed to exist.
So it would seem there will not be any type of edit button in the comments section any time in the foreseeable future.
