Anyone see this? Just read an article that I hope was a cruel joke. I found it through the Bucs team page on yahoo, believe it was a Tampa Tribune article, but the gist of it was that Bryant is being allowed to test the free agency waters and that the Bucs are not going to make him an offer. Listed reasons were that he struggled with knee injuries and that FO wants Freeman to grow with a group of young recievers.
That alone is bad enough (taking away Freeman's best reciever) but it was added that they are electing to keep Clayton on!!! Are they taking crazy pills or am I? How does this make any sense? Say what you will about Bryant's injuries, at least he catches the ball....
Does this mean they are gonna go after another reciever in free agency? If so, who? Or would it change our draft strategy, as in trading down from #3 to pick up a WR at a more reasonable spot?
Please confirm or refute this story as news comes out. I hope that today is in fact April 1st and that I fell into a time warp...
