Editor's Note: Seems this is the hot story of the day. Thanks to Jpirate for noting it in a fanshot (here) and Josh_G for getting a fanpost up about it. I brought it over to the front page to help facilitate the conversation. Enjoy.
ESPN is reporting that the Chargers are looking for a trade partner to take grumpy Pro Bowl CB Antonio Cromartie off their hands. Word is that they're looking for a between the tackles runner to replace LT and compliment Darren Sproles, and one thing the Bucs have is a lot of decent RBs...
Fair enough, two seasons ago talk of trading one of our talented but fragile RB stable for AC would have been a joke, the guy was leading the league in INTs after all, but in two seasons since he's picked off just five passes and San Diego seem to have fallen out with him.
So with Jammer and Cason, they think Cromartie is an expensive luxury and they want rid of him, while LT's impending cutting/retirement means they're desperately short on the RB front. The Bucs have three talented if not exactly incredible RBs, all of which have proved histories on production in the NFL are fairly young and (Caddy excepted) don't have a huge amount of wear and tear.
On the other hand, Ronde Barberisn't getting any younger, and unless EJ Biggers or Torrie Coxexcites you, we could do with a corner to partner with Talib. Realistically, Caddy's RFA status means he's not useful as trade bait, so it's between Ward and Graham, both of whom didn't exactly have stellar seasons, so it could be a case that what we've got ain't enough for what they're offering. What do you think?

I never saw the point in Derrick Ward anyway (163 votes)
I think we'll have to give up a pick as well as one of our backs (89 votes)
No-one would want one of our RBs anyway (44 votes)
Heck no, Cromartie is a one-season wonder, he's not worth it (20 votes)
EJ Biggers for the Pro Bowl 2011 (32 votes)
